Fished the Klick for coho using the kayak and did not find one that would bite.  I thought the rain would bring some fish in but they seem to still be out in the columbia mouth, where there were a fair number of boats.  I fished up in the river with eggs and bobber and saw only a few fish jump.

I did luck out and catch a beautiful 8-10 lb wild steelhead that I had to release, which put up a very good fight, but that was it.  I fished for about 2 hours.

What a beautiful wild hen! Always release the wild hens, even in a river where you are allowed to keep one. Thanks for the pic. I've never fished the Klick, but i've always wanted to go there to fish for the summer runs. At this late date, that must be an early winter run fish. Simply awesome! thanks for posting the pic.

I just did some research and found out that gorgeous fish is probably a "summer run" fish. I guess they keep coming in late there. She looks full of eggs. Cool.
