Does anyone use these? It would be pretty easy to make a watertight lid to protect the contacts, and the 7Ah battery might float in salt water.

Here's a recent conversation that mentions them: http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=20152.msg213711#msg213711

Id' ask ballardbrad about them.  He has some good background information.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Yep. I've been using them for a while and really like them.  They have even sealed the terminals with a quick connector.  They are at the Washington Sportsman's Show back by the Fly Fishing Theater and having a show special on them (think they are $10 off and free shipping).  I'm getting 10 to 12 hrs out of their 7ah and 10ah batteries. Really light weight compared to hauling an SLA but not as expensive as some of the smaller lithiums I've seen out there.  Check em out.

If you can't make the show they are selling the 7ah batteries for $59.  There's free shipping on them through the end of Feb.  Use this code:  wss18 at check out.
