Those are some good looking flies.  What do you use for the longer fibers?  I've tried a few different things to find a balance between apparent bulk and actual bulk to keep them lighter.
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

Yak hair is my main go to(that's the bottom top fly) and the very bottom is made from Congo hair.

Good job matching a greenling's color on that fly, Scott.  You already know how much I admire your tying skills and how often I try to sneak up to get a peek at what you're using, but I'm going to give you a run for your money this year.  We'll just have to see whose fly lands the first ling this year.

Fish early and fish often.

The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Neither of the lingcod flies are going to weigh much dry, but in my experience, the yak hair fly will be lighter and appear more bulky when wet.  I like using Congo hair but it tends to trap more water and appear more "compressed" when wet.

8 days, 18 hours, 2 minutes and 51 seconds - if you're not on the injured reserve list.

What you see there in the picture is what it will be like in the water.
