The weather this weekend is looking pretty damn nice. The flow seems to be chilling out.. and reports of early steel are in.. Who's down for a drift on the Sky? >:D

Looks like the rain has got the flows pretty high for Sunday so gonna have to scrap those plans. :( Still have good WAF so will be heading out for some blackmouth off the downrigger at Shilshole in the AM. If anyone's game come on down.

It was a beautiful warm morning w/ lots of fog. I showed up a bit too early and had to wait for it to lighten up a bit since the fog was pretty thick. Gotta get a light system set up to get out there earlier. Just as it got light I got on the water and got the downrigger all set up. Dropped a coyote spoon behind a HS UV flasher down to 90' in about 110 FOW and no sooner then I was all settled in the first fish was on. Turned out to be a shaker so back it went. It was hot and heavy for about 3 hours straight and dropping and pulling the downrigger was killing me. Snagged and lost my gear so re-tied with a HS purple haze flasher and coho killer this time. It was doing well but the Coyote was definitely the ticket for the day. The fog got pretty bad but was very lucky to have my GPS since I got really spun a few times when I was fighting fish. Didn't end up getting anything amazing but the day's best was just shy of the 22" minimum.
