It was just a 15.5" carryover trout, but good to get back out on the water in pursuit.  American Lake can be really nice this time of year on any given day.  Too early for the water maggots but unfortunately it is still to early for the Kokanee too.  My FOV was set at narrow from my last duck hunt and didn't notice until I got home, but nice to record the memory.

More as the season progresses...
