I've been hoping for 4 or 5, 1/2 day fishing trips in the OR salt and for sturgeon. After reading the Oregon Licensing regulations things were getting confusing, expensive and frustrating. I finally called and spoke to a very nice gal.  I offer this just as potential help to non-Oregon residents looking to fish OR for limited periods.

An Annual license with a Columbia endorsement looks like it runs just under $170, not including the shell fish which is $28.  A one day license with Columbia endorsement is $22.  Licenses are sold in 1,2,3 and 7 consecutive day periods.  3 days is just under $60. 
So, I can buy single day licenses, including salmon and sturgeon for at least 8 days without exceeding the cost of a annual.   If I buy a few consecutive days it's a beer cheaper.  Shellfish is still $28 for the year.  Believe this at your peril but I think it's right.  The number to confirm is 503-947-6000 and go through the phone tree to find licenses.
Now, off for a next Sunday or Monday monkey faced pole-poking adventure around Yaquino Bay on the inside of the jetties to avoid the big wave forecast and rain.  Yes, I have a PDF and radio handy.  I hate it when it gets hard to figure out if you're legal...

Appreciate that Roger.  I did see that page, but didn’t know you could add a sturgeon and salmon tag for that day for only an additional $1. It might be there, just didn't find it very easily.

Appreciate that roger the thing I didn’t see was you coul add a sturgeon and salmon tag for that dat for an additional $1.

slight correction to that-  the daily/multi-day licenses always come with a tag for the days they are valid.  the extra $1 per day is to add the Columbia River Endorsement.
