I like this question and the replies. Pretty awesome group of people here.

I like getting away from company often on the ocean and it's not too hard most days. I also don't mind if I'm off by myself and someone drops by to say hi. The fishable structure at Pacific City and Depoe Bay is immense by kayak standards so if you don't get a "hey come fish with me" vibe you should be able to find something else good.

I don't mind at all if people fish next to me, especially on the ocean.  Those rockfish are aggressive, the more people hooking up and bringing those fish to the surface the better.  Say hi, I've even shared the hot lure of the day with fellow anglers to get them hooking up.
