Spot posted a hydrograph for the Cowlitz the other day and remarked how dangerous it would be at 18 ft.  With all this snow melt, it's predicted to crest at just under 23 feet on Friday night (Flood Stage at this location is 21.5 ft.)
If you can figure out something resonable to do I'll still try to be there, even if that's just sitting around telling lies and drinking beers.

Brian

Are you sure that's not an inverse of the NASDAQ curve? ;D

Flood, Schmud! Don't you want to get out there and give those anchor systems a REAL trial?  >:D
I'm kidding (sorta). I'm definitely not up for starting the new year off dead, but if it's not too big, I'd still like to get out. I'll go take a look and see if it requires too much of a gut check to paddle fish. I've also heard the that the Wilson should be falling into some shape by Saturday.
Jason, are you out there? I think you got the most guts (although mine is the biggest ;D)

I don't think we'll get Allen et al to drive 4 hrs not to fish. But then again Portland is the micro brew capital of the planet (well, at least Homer would be proud) and a brew or 3 with you guys would be nice and get the lies flowing. I've also got a room or two available for Saturday night in my house that we are getting ready to rent for anyone who needs to crash.

Any plan forming yet for Saturday, Wali?  Small pond fishing for hold over trout or grab a beer somewhere?

Sure was nice today! Although I feel asleep in front of the idiot box and woke up to a national weather service announcement of a flood warning for Clackamas county, that does not mean that the Multnomah channel would not be doable. ???
(actually, it does for anybody with any sense) ::)

Got a ponds or a favorite Brew pub in mind?

Okay, latest intel from an undisclosed reliable source say that the upper Cowlitz should be very fishable. Anybody up?

In any event, I'm planning to be back in town by 4pm and meeting bsteves for a beer. Everybody is welcome and the first round is on him. ;D

Hey Wali,
I'm off work at 5pm. Any location to confirm for that beer?

Jay, where do you work?  I know nothing about brew pubs west of the Willamette.  My suggestion for an east of the Willamette would be HUB (Hopworks Urban Brewery).  It's at 2944 SE Powell (hwy 26).

Anyone else interested?
