Granny’s solution

My old eyes and feeble fingers are struggling to tie on flies. My great grandma was born in 1870. Tonight I remembered her needle threader and borrowed one from my bride’s sewing box. I like using a Palomar knot but getting a doubled line through a small hook eye is tough.
 
I’ll practice with this and see if it works on the water.
