What is your lure preference out there.

I use 5" swimbaits with a 1oz leadhead, it takes a lot of skill with controlling the kayak in adverse conditions to effectively fish it though. I would go heavier on the weight if you don't have peddles or don't feel like adjusting a lot.


Fish hard.

I will probably go with 2 oz jigs to start and work down if conditions permit.

Good luck and remember most of the time the current and wind is going to try to suck you into the jetty. Set your boat position on the drift where you can easily get away from it.
