Thinking of calling in sick Monday to go chase sturgeon down near Buoy 10.  I've fished the area in a powerboat for salmon, and know the water there can get pretty choppy in a hurry.  Am I crazy to try this in a kayak?  If so, where would be a safer spot that is open?  Also, if there are generally any spots that produce better, would anyone be willing to share?
I am not looking for a honey hole, more like general areas. Thanks for any intel you're willing to share!
