I am keeping a close eye on the forecast. If it stays OK I sure am thinking of heading out to PC on Saturday. It has been way too long since i was there.

If not then Plan B will be chasing springers.

Thank you for the facebook link.
I used to follow it as well but hadn't been on there for a few weeks. I should clearly pick that up again. Good to know that more folks on planning to hit the ocean this weekend.

Too bad for the sun burn, but from the pic it seems like the day was absolutely worth it. Nice fish!

I will be at one of those spots if the forecast holds. I've been playing with molding plastics  as well as powder coating jigs and have a few new toys to try out.

It's pretty safe to say that any weekend day with conditions as predicted there will be a bajillion people there, including a bunch of kayakers.

Please make an effort to play nice with the dory boat folks and if you don't have a trailer it doesn't hurt to have a "Kayak Launch and Recovery Vehicle" sign on your dash if you're parking on the launch side of the beach.

Keep safe, have fun, and tight lines!

Ended up being a good day on the water. Stayed in the Yak, kept 3 nice size Rock Fish, a 30"+ Ling (forgot my measuring stick) and let 3 go that were too close to just legal to keep. Lancer Jigs did the trick again.

A nice day on the water indeed. The surf was somewhat higher than the forecast suggested and i  had a wave smack me right in the face when heading out:-). I got mainly cabazon (including a very nice one) and a couple of undersized lings. Obviously that didn't do any good for the freezer. The only thing i took home was one rockfish. Great to be out on the ocean again though!!
