DIY Sand Cart for a Hobie

Looking for ideas/designs for building a DIY sand cart for my Outback. Dragging it with the std wheels across the beach a few times made it a must. The wheels are $79 on amazon and the Hobie cart is $220. I am thinking there has to be a way to put the rest of the cart together for WAY less than $140.

Has anyone done something like this?

Instead of the straps it came with, I use a bungee cord with little hooks on each end. The hooks fit onto the front bar perfectly and I run the cord through the tank well scupper holes. The only bad thing about doing it this way is that it sometimes folds up when trying to take it over big bumps. It's also a bit heavy since the wheels are in the back and not more towards the center of the kayak.
