First youtube kayak fishing vid up

Nice video T, if you could practice laying your paddle across your lap, put the net on the bow with the handle either in a tension broom clip or if it’s round enough at the handle a mag light holder.

Ahhh! I didn’t think about that. The paddle is across his lap already. The net would be in the way across his lap like I suggested. 🥴

No if you look his paddle is on his right side sitting on the bow.

I place my paddle across my lap while landing fish.   At some point I take my net out of the rod holder behind me with my reeling hand and lay it partially in the water.. the net handle rests against the paddle shaft and the hoop hangs on my foot in the water. I reel right handed so my right hand is also my netting hand and I net my fish on the right side of the kayak.  It’s a quick transition between reeling to netting for me this way.

My other tip is get a really big net.
