So, a friend of mine just received her new Wavewalk W700 after waiting several months for delivery.  The color she thought she was getting isn't what she got.  She was thinking she was getting a forest green color but got a gator green color.

This hasn't seen water yet, so it is really brand new unused and ready for someone looking to do some duck hunting or other activity that this color would be great for.  Obviously, it would be great for crabbing in the bay as well.

Here is her Craigslist ad.

Please contact her for questions and or purchase arrangements.

Thanks for your comment, this should help her sell the kayak for sure.   ::)

I guess it depends on the trees and reptile but in my mind they are relatively the same color.  Why can't she swap colors with the dealer?

Honestly, I think the manufacturer is going to put himself out of business.  She ordered straight from him (no local dealer), and had to wait months for delivery as he was changing mold companies.  The color she thought she was getting was last years Forest Green color.  During the wait, she did try to get a color swap to yellow, but he didn't make that happen for some reason.  Then she gets the Gator Green.  Perfect color for duck or other water hunting adventures.

So, she tried to see about a color swap and he now charges $400-$500 shipping each way on any new kayaks he sells.  A dick move on his part and for sure not going to help sell his kayaks on the west coast.  Each to their own I guess.

She said if it doesn't sell in the next few weeks, she might write "Ugly Kayak" on the sides with bright colored Duct Tape.   ;D
