Hey all, new guy here. I have been big into fishing these past years almost all species. Usually out of my 16’ Lund but I have decided to pursue my interest of kayak fishing. With all the groups, awesome boats and cool accessories I figured what better time. Plus when you own a boat you become a guide and work on helping everyone else catch fish instead of you fishing.... how the heck did that work out!

Anyway I owned a Ride 115 loved it. Sold it a few years back. I picked up a new Tarpon 140 yesterday from REI. Love it so far! Will be mounting my Hook2 7 and double long arm rod holders on it. I mainly troll or mooch for my fish so the Tarpon fit the bill perfectly. I will be looking for anyone who wants to fish around the Tacoma Gig harbor area. Mainly targeting Salmon and fly fishing for SeaRun. I am very interested in meeting up with someone and fishing off shore for the first time.

Cheers!

An easy place to start from the salt is Evans Beach at Pt Defiance.  The public launch in Gig Harbor can get crowded and the current outside the bay can get ripping pretty good for a first time.  You'll see a lot of us out there now.  I'm in a yellow/green Hobie, usually with a yellow hat for visibility...I've always got an extra beer on me!
Welcome!
