Hey everyone, I thought I would update (refer to the PDX winter fishing ideas) on the Crooked River.  I visited the river the last two days and found the weather exceptional, the fishing just beginning to come on.  My Buddy and I caught two nice whitefish right below the dam at Big Bend.  This was about 9AM.  Soon our guides were so packed with ice the line wouldn't feed.  We moved on to the sunny stretches and didn't catch anything.  Today was the same, just alot more people on the first river mile below the dam.  Just not the hot bite, especially for whitefish.  It should be improving with the spawning fish.  Flies used-Prince/pheasant tail/black pheasant tail with ORANGE bead*

High points, catching fish.  Low points breaking rod.  High points having a spare rod always.  Low points falling in river soon after.  Ha Ha.

Oh, we have enjoyed all info on the sturgeon hunts closely- and hope to join ye dino hunt in the next two weeks (water allowing).
