Kayak Rack for Pick Up Toppers

I found a great solution for Pick Up toppers to easily transport your yak.  When I bought my ARE topper, I searched everywhere looking for this type of rack.   Thought i was going to be stuck with a crossbar set up, a set up that led to many dents in my previous Yukon settup! 

Found this on another guys truck, emailed maker, and ordered direct.

This is made by an outfit from MN, Prime Industries called the Alurack.  It has a rear roll bar that makes it easy peasy to get my outback up and down.

If you purchase, buy thru their direct distributor in your area.   I guess ARE is now offering this as an option, but with another middle man it is higher.  You can install yourself, or for $150 extra, the distributors can do it.     The cost was only $50 higher than the silly Yakima crossbars too.
