I've not been able to find a good video demonstrating the "cup" method of transducer mounting on a kayak so I'd thought I put together a video demonstrating that techniques as well a comprehensive overview of fishfinder installation including: head mounts, wiring, batteries, and transducer mounting.

Time and Index
0:00 Overview
0:37 Head unit placement
2:49 Transducer installation: Manufacturer Ready Mounts
4:00 Transducer installation: Thru-hull "cup method"
11:57 Transducer installation: Over the side "transducer arm"
13:47 Batteries
15:06 Wiring
15:38 Thru-hull wiring
16:16 Hobie thru hull wiring
18:42 Conclusion[/url]
Here is an index of the topics.
