New ride

Finally bit the bullet and picked up a new yak! This has been about a year coming (ever since I saw the 2019 Outbacks) and after a few test rides I decided I wanted one. Was going to buy the last 2019 the dealer had late last year but I decided to wait until this year and get a brand spankin new one.

Just did the fish finder install (Hobie sure made it easy) and have a couple things on the way that I want to upgrade over my old kayak. Other than that I'm ready for the water the next day the ocean cooperates on a day off. Can't wait!

And you didn’t even let your neighbor drool on it before you installed your gear?!?!

Thanks! huge step up from my old Ocean Kayak Prowler. I notice you have a downrigger. I was going to get one for this season as I have been recommended them by a few friends. Is yours attached to the H rail? If so is it mounted to one of the H rail plates?

Definitely needs a little red in it  i had to go with the classic Hobie color. Not just for visibility sake haha. The blue 2019 floor model I was offered at $300 off sure was tempting though!
