in short i maybe looking for a ff that i can see the shoreline when am on the ocean(at depoe bay) when I`m using gps on it.  understand side image units transducers cannot be mounted inside hull (in a puck). would rather use the in hull(puck) and side image isn`t necessary either for me.  so which fish finder should i be looking at?

Cabelas/bass pro shop has the echomap plus 73sv on sale now for 450. Has some features it sounds like you done need but seems like a lot of fish finder for that price.
