My name is Tom Beecroft most call me Bee or Tom.  I'm originally from Albany Oregon and I've been fishing since I was old enough to hold a pole (44 years). Ive been in the Army 25 years.  I'm new to kayak fishing and looking forward to getting to meet new friends as well as get my family involved in the sport.

Welcome Bee, glad to have you aboard.  Lots of good info on here.  If you have any questions do a search, as I'm sure someone on here has asked it before and if you can't find your answer then feel free to post up your question.  There are lots of knowledgeable folks on here willing to help you out.

What are your goals for your kayak fishing adventure?  Fresh water lakes and ponds?  Rivers for salmon?  Ocean and bays?

Where do you live now, Tom ? Any idea of the bodies of water you are interested in first, and the kind of fishing  ?

There isn't a body of water I'm not interested in fishing in.  I live in Yelm, WA so primarily I'll be fishing fresh water lakes/ponds.

Also be sure to hook up with one of our HOW events either the NOC chapter here at the coast or with the Portland chapter in the metro area.  ::) Thanks for your years of service.
