Ralph, Royg and I went out at Sunset today. It was alot rougher then NOAA said it was gonna be, but doable.

The fish were biting good, but  alot of Greenling and the blacks were short biting, grabbing the tail and some would hang on most the way up and then let go, enough to drive ya batty.

I did Manage a fat Black and a barely legal Ling.

I hooked one that must have been a monster Ling. My drag was tight and it stripped line off, I could feel the rod bending at the reel seat. Then it came off the jig and the line went slack, I was bummed. it was big!! oh well, I know where he lives....

everyone caught fish, so it was a good day.

See ya on the water..

Geez, slow down guys, we still have over 11 months left in 2009.  Seriously though, glad to see the Coastal Oregon guys are taking this competition thing to heart.

Personally, I'm working hard on my "honey-do" list so that I have enough WAF come spring to put in some serious AOTY time myself.

Its good to see fish caught.  Sounds like momma ling is around, that's awesome.  Hopefully the weather stays, maybe we can hook-up again and go out.

I am so stoked from hearing about something big being hooked.  Its to bad it was not landed and photographed.

Nice fish Roy! Looks like the making of a good meal. Were you able to get to the outside? It looks like it was pretty choppy.

Very good, Half of him was good last night. Didn't get outside, it was kinda rough.

I looked at it at 7:30 am today, seemed doable but i got lazy and stayed home.
