Hi All! Looking to learn!

Hey everyone, I'm super excited to be here!
I recently moved to Oregon (Monmouth) from San Diego.
Have been fishing SoCal lakes for largemouth in my outback for years, but Oregon has so much more fishing potential, that I cannot wait to tap into!
So far, I've yaked some sloughs for largemouth, and had some great luck on the Willamette for smallies, but what I really want is to get out on the salt, at least for rockfish, but ultimately to target salmon and sturgeon.
I will be buying a drysuit, radio, and GPS this week, but what I really need, is someone to show me the ropes of safely kayak fishing the salt.
I would be super stoked if I could tag along with any of you, and learn a thing or two!
Any info or advice would be much appreciated!

If you in can make it to Tillamook bay on an early low tide day, I’ll gladly introduce you to salt water fishing the bay in preparation for the ocean. The bay is a good introduction with out a surf launch.  Depoe Bay  can be as well but I don’t get there that often. Might be a good to learn rock fishing in a more protected area.
