Hi all,

Started getting interested in Kayaking back home in California, but have been staying out on Flathead Lake for a couple months now since I'm working remote. Been catching some decent rainbows and lakers, and hoping to chase some kokanee in the surrounding area at some point.

Hello! There aren't many kayak anglers out here in Montana. Welcome to the small club. Get a dry suit, if you don't already have one! It'l l be time to suit up soon.  A dry suit will allow you to kayak comfortably and somewhat more safely in Montana's long fall and spring shoulder seasons.

I'll be back out California-way in 2 weeks or so, just before the weather starts to really turn. Although fishing in Monterey Bay is going to be getting colder so might be worth a look regardless.
