I make dog food out of the fillets, cure the eggs for sturgeon/salmon, and use the rest as fertilizer for my garden. They're suppose to smoke up pretty well, anyone I've ever met who has eaten one fresh has said they're disgusting. Really fun to fish for, kind of like a cross between a steelhead and chinook.

People fish for them with buzzbombs and stuff, they mostly snag them. Bobber and anchovy will draw strikes sometimes. They can supposedly be caught trolling as well... purple hoochies and less than sockeye trolling speeds. I've caught a lot in the rivers with bobber and jig, never got that to work in the salt.
