AOTY sturgeon rule clarification

As many of you know, sturgeon regulations in Washington and Oregon have changed somewhat since last year.  The new regulations require sturgeon to be measured using fork length rather than total length.

To conform with these new regulation changes, AOTY sturgeon entries should also be measured using fork length.

If you don't mind a few marks on the side of your yak a Sharpie does a great job of marking the dino slot limit. Then you can hold the dino against the yak for a quick measure.

When I suggested it Polepole told me it probably wouldn't happen.

Keep in mind that Oregon slot limits vary depending on where you're fishing

I thought you were suggesting it for ALL fish measurements, hence my resistance to it.  I do support it for sturgeon only.  Sorry for any confusion.

Yeah there was some confusion for awhile.  I had a little chat with Spot this weekend that helped remind me we needed to do something. 
Hopefully this way we can also confirm that the sturgeon was legal.
