Ugly stik or Trevala for me.  My 7’0” ML casting trevala is the rod I’d pick if I could only bring one for bottom fish and salmon.  Enough power for lings and enough finesse for salmon.  Indestructible as well.

I've heard you can get a pretty decent halibut to your kayak on a ML Trevala as well  ;)

I ended up buying the Trevala 7' ML its being shipped to me right now. Pretty excited to get out there but I might need help in the whole gear rigging department. Thanks for the suggestions and information.
