Finally built a decent rod holding set up to get them up out of the way and safe. Cheap and easy to put up if you have open rafters.

Plumbing J hooks from Lowes. $.98/ea 1 1/4" or 1/1/2".  I used 1 1/4" and it fit all the handles of my rods. If you have something with a large handle you might need a couple 1 1/2' ers

Throw some Owens Corning pink on top of the rods and see if you can get an Energy Trust rebate to buy more fishing poles. :-)
