After all the time I put into my battery i though was dead, It turns out my fish finder has a bad connection where the power cable hooks up to the back of it. I called humminbird and they said they would fix it under the warranty. Hope they get it back to me soon, I have the fishing bug bad for some reason!!!!!!!!

When you say it was bad, what was bad about it?

When I plugged the power cable into the back of the unit it would not come on. But if you pushed the power cable to one side or the other it would come on and work fine. But as soon as I let go it would shut off again. ??? ???

Do you see any corrosion in the socket?  It happens.  I use dielectric grease on all my connections, applying a dab whenever it looks like I need it.  Once I started doing this, I stopped having connection/corrosion problems.
