I need a new reel for my downrigger, we tried to fix the drag on my OC 993...... :(

Looking for an old beat up bait caster, basically just needs to reel up and down. Cheap is the main feature i'm looking for.

If you get no bites do the rounds at C-list and Ebay. They're always a pretty good source for the reel you're looking for. BTW are we gonna get pics of the build of this?

What did you do to that OC993?

I got a few Penn 209's lying around somewhere.

Sounds like too many reel mechanics all working on the reel at once.

It had some broken pieces in it. The drag was unfixable.

Brian, Actually Ralph did it all by himself but it was my idea so i took part responsibility.. He's gonna look around for another one, if he doesn't have one i might take you up on one of those 209's, Pole.

It ended up being an Ocean City(penn knock off), not a penn. It wasn't worth spending money to fix.

Ralph has another one for me....
