7 Kokanee.  Nothing else.  Got one in 75' in front of the island and the rest behind the island.  2 oz & 3 oz at 100' - 125' back.  1.2 - 1.3 mph.
Water is high enough now that kayaks can launch without the winter ramp.
The payment machine at the Mongold entrance is really finicky.  Only accepts credit cards.  Fortunately, I have an annual pass.  Pays for itself if you go at least 6 times in a year.

Great post.  I purchased some new gear to give Kokanee fishing a try just before the fires in September.  Is Kokanee year round in Detroit?  I am looking forward to giving it a try.

Very nice! I talked to guided who said to fish the south shore basically straight across from the ramp, so west of the island. He also said to get there early as the bite is often dieing off by 10am.

He has also donated a guided trip to the AOTY this year!

Thanks for the great report!
I should be able to join you next time, and try out my downrigger for the first time as well.
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

Nice Report!
Where can you buy the annual parking pass?

Do you paddle or use a trolling motor?

If you paddle, do you use 2 rods?
