I was thinking about floating the Tualitin starting at Rood bridge. Would it be a good float in the Outback? Should I leave the mirage drive at home and just paddle? Is it worth taking a fishing pole? Also, anybody a member of the Tualitin Riverkeepers? Thanks, Dusty

Used to fish there for cuts many years ago from a canoe. Then while training in a rescue boat (HFD). That part of the river, at least back then, meant a lot of banging off of and scraping over branches and logs in search of fish. And each year it changed. So I think it would be risky using a pedal boat up there. But it’s a fun river to be on in spite of the challenges.

we floated that section last year, you should be fine with taking the drive but just be prepared to pull it, there are a lot of trees in the water, but should be fine for a kayak width.  I would defiantly take a fishing rod, lots of opportunity to fish.
