i added a 2x4 on each of my bars to give me more width lol.  Its quite redneck but it works

+1, I use this to carry a Revo 13 & AI on a station wagon. Additional redneck points for the ropes that secure the 2x4s to the bars.

Just watch your head..... those 2x4 corners hurt like a mother.

I went straight white trash and used black Harbor Freight Zip Ties.

I fit 1 Revo and 1 Outback on my SUV. Saddles go out to the edge of the bars with a couple inches space between the yaks.

I was initially looking at Yakima Big Catch but then found and ordered these on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F21RLVF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For $80 it should be a decent alternative to the Yakima product. They should arrive on Sunday and I will compare them to the Big Catch.
