Hobie Sold to Bass Pro Shops

Has anyone seen the announcement regarding Hobie's new owners?
The plan is to move production from Tijuana, Mexico to Lebanon, Missouri.
I pray this solves all the issues of terrible customer service after Hobie was sold to an investment group in 2021 and jettisoned all of the "old timer brains at Hobie once that made it work".

I bet this also means it will be even more bass focused.  I guess we will never see an upgrade to the better kayaks for ocean fishing. But one can hope.

I'm concerned BPS will do to Hobie what they did to Cabelas items after the merger.  I guess it beats being held by an investment group.  Hopefully spare parts will become easily attainable.

If your sprockets ever go, I highly recommend the stainless set you can get on Amazon.

I use a pretty smooth stroke and the sprockets have held up....so far.  Thanks for the advice.

It was waiting 9 months for a common part, that should have been in stock everywhere, and missing salmon season that was irritating.
