Looking for intel on if the chum are showing up to Hoodsport. Feel free to direct me to an online resource with this information; I couldn't find it, but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

You can call this number (360 877-5222).  Hatchery will update but not that frequently.
As of Last week, they are coming in with decent numbers.
Don't go on on Monday's, tribe will be netting.

Best time is one to two hours before the incoming tide.

If you're looking for something closer to home, MA11 is open for Chinook...

Attached is a picture of my Hoodsport chum salmon from yesterday!

I fished Hoodsport from about 9am - sometime past noon. There were no fish around - zero. It's the first time I've been there and not seen at least a few fish swimming around near the hatchery. Pixter Time marked a couple of small groups of fish way out in the middle of the canal, and I think I saw a sea lion thrashing one (also way out in the middle of the canal) but nothing at the hatchery.

There were 8-10 bankies and one other boat casting away with zero caught. Actually, I take that back. The boat rolled up the same time I did and the guy immediately jumped out and walked up to the little pool of water below the hatchery intake and snagged a half dead zombie and dragged it back to his boat (low tide).

EDIT: Just to make clear, the "one other boat" was a boat, not a kayak. Pixter Time was out there but he wasn't the one who dragged the zombie fish out.  ;D

Apparently the canal is having trouble meeting broodstock, 12 will probably close soon. I think 11/13 will open though.
