Fished Vernonia pond last Friday and finally got the skunk off my new kayak.
Failed to connect and missed several strikes on a blue fox spinner, blue and chrome.
Nothing on the trout or perch colored spinners.
Resorted to bobber and gulp worm pieces tipped with chartreuse crappie bites until I ran out of the fake worm pieces. Had to keep the first fish as he inhaled the bait all the way to the processing plant.
9 fish on gulp and bites then three more on a mini pink worm and crappie bites, dubbed the Stinky Pinky .
It was nice to get my bobber mojo back.
Had to keep 3 fish out of 12 which made my neighbors happy.
Fun day.
Landing my first fish on the kayak was educational and would have made a great blooper reel.
Tight lines...
