Part-time Waldport Resident - Fly Angler

It's an unbelievably fun place to fish - I go to that spot at least once a year - we have an annual trip from here in SD down to that estuary every June right when school gets out.

Welcome to the NWKA ELMucho!  I have been building my fly gear to include saltwater rods and reels as I want to give it a go on my kayak.  I am heading for Southern California in May to see my Grandkids and run a Spartan race.  Just received a Sportfishing Atlas of Southern California from Baja Directions.  Been visiting with an outfit in San Diego to do a day fishing trip either at Point Loma or La Jolla (dragging my son along).  Looking forward to it.   

Thanks for the welcome! Weather has just been fantastic here - low 70s today. I am 99% a fly angler and most of that is in the salt - right here in San Diego. If you need some info when you get here, drop me a note and I will get right back to you.
