Hey everyone,

I’m taking a trip to Ilwaco this weekend. Conditions look great to me.
Looking for any tips or advice on salmon and/or bottom fishing around the area. Thought about launching at Waikiki beach and sticking around the cape and jetty mostly. I know the bar can be very dangerous.

Anything helps, thanks!

That area is closed for salmon until the 1st of August. The closest opportunity for salmon in that area is either above the Astoria-Megler Bridge, or out in the ocean.

Also, one may only fish for salmon upstream of the Buoy 10 deadline if you launch from there when it is open.
