So, when your buddy comes to town and wants to fish and you had your spare single kayak stolen what do you do? You get in the tandem and get him a fish! I think I will fish the tandem more often.

Nice one.  Bet he was stoked.  Was it weird switching up to the tandem?

No. It was actually much more fun than I thought, and it was my first fishing trip on it. He wasn't used to salmon takedowns and missed the first one after I yelled "you've got a fish!" The one he caught was even more fun because after it went under and around the kayak, he accidentally loosened the drag and the line went limp for about 5 seconds. He handed me the rod, tightened the drag, and handed it back to him and he got the fish in. I guess that fish was destined for his table. Unfortunately, I didn't get a video of it. It would have been great. I introduce a lot of angler friends to kayak fishing and I think the tandem is a better way to do it. And it is much easier to troll with two people pedaling especially upstream during an outgoing tide. Sometimes we were going too fast.
