Just arrived at our condo at Worldmark. Hopefully the ocean is more cooperative than it sounds. Arriving after dark can be deceiving.

I assume this applies to kayakers too.

Yes, it apples to kayaks as well. Doesn't  apply to anyone until Sept 6 is how I understand the rule change.

How was it on the water Saturday?

I headed out Saturday and had a hard takedown that stripped out a bunch at the red buoy but I think my drag was too loose and it got off. I couldn't get another bite in that area so I headed west and didn't get another bite for maybe 45 minutes to an hour. I had a couple hit but didn't set. I finally caught a relatively small native at 9am. Got a couple more hard hits-one that stripped out 80 yards of line but I lost it. Then at 10am I got another small-ish keeper. I don't salmon fish with a depth finder so I can't say how far out I was but maybe a mile past the whistle buoy. Fishing was not hot by any means but there are at least a few around. Plenty of boats still out by the time I got back and spoke to a couple boat fisherman that managed to get a limit but it wasn't hot for them either.
