It was nice being out and getting skunked with everyone else.  I think it’s time for me to shift from not catching coho to not catching steelhead.

Brand new to the forum and figured i'd post here even though it seems the fishery is about done for the year. Broke it the brand new Compass with Roger at Siltcoos/Tahkenitch this year and had an absolute blast! This is my first kayak and it is just amazing. I love the design and simplicity! Unfortunately I only hooked a couple of coho and was skunked in my 5 outings on the lakes. I got to meet some cool people on this forum and look forward to next year! One thing on my mind now................winter steelhead!! :)

Launched from Nightengales about 10am and fished from there down to the first trestle.  Beautiful glassy water and partly sunny.  Way better than last week when I was covered in 1inch of hail and sleet.  Absolutely nothing until about 3:30 when I hooked what felt like a decent fish only to lose it after a short fight.  Wonder how many came in last week with the dam opening?
