Up for free is an old Ocean Kayak Scupper Pro TW. If you have been thinking about trying a lighter/narrower paddle kayak for fishing, the Scupper is pretty good. The Swell Scupper 14 is a similar new model, but it weighs a good 13lbs more than the original's 55lbs. If you have noodle arms like me, every pound counts when car topping a kayak on an SUV.

I bought the Scupper two years ago for $300 to try out kayak fishing without breaking the bank. The straps and bungees are less than two years old, and I installed a couple of YakAttack Mighty Mounts for a rod holder and fish finder. The kayak is a little faded and has the usual scratches, but it paddles great (with no leaks).

Additional accessories if you want them:
  • Small crate that fits the tankwell.
  • Two YakAttack TetherTube Rod Holders zip tied into the crate.
  • Scupper plugs.
  • Spare front hatch.
  • Plastic for future plastic weld repairs.
  • Budget aluminum and plastic paddle.

A recent paddle in the kayak (the other paddler):  https://youtu.be/HMa_2LxuIe4?si=VVb9nroM3CfJSGKR

I am giving the Scupper away because I've accumulated two fiberglass sit-on-top kayaks, and I do not have the space to justify keeping it. The NWKA forum has been helpful, so hopefully someone on NWKA will take it off my hands before I list it for cash on Craigslist or FB Marketplace.

If interested, feel free to contact me to arrange a pickup in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, WA.

Am not in the market for another kayak but this is a pretty awesome gesture for the community. I am sure there's someone in that neck of the woods that could use a kayak without breaking the bank (or any money.)

That's a super nice offer! If you haven't already found someone, I bet the NW chapter of Heroes on the Water would be happy to take it off your hands.

Thanks, DWB123. I will look into Heroes on the Water if someone on the forum does not pick it up.
