I got into town last week.  I'm hoping someone out there looking for some company on the water will show a newbie to the west coast the ropes.  I am light on tackle, but I would be glad to pay for gas or bait or whatever is needed to get out there.  Thanks in advance.

Roy!  You been huffing the tongue oil again?   :o

The guy just got to the West Coast.....  I'm sure he's light on cold water gear as well as tackle.  Don't send him out chasing Dinos!

Hey Ceph, what kinda gear do you have?

I am looking to pick up the wet suit or waders and cold weather gear in the next week.  You know how it is though.  I have some moving in expenses as well so I will have to go with the minimum (while still being safe) for now.  I just want to get some fishing in before things like work get in the way.

Take into account that I fished from a kayak in Savannah, GA before this.  My cold weather gear involves sweats and a rain coat.  Most of my days were spent in swim trunks and sun screen.  I would slip into the water just to cool off!  I have been looking into the gear needed for paddling out here.  Advise on this site has been particularly helpful.
