Ill be at Depoe Sunday.  Is anyone planning on launching at Fogarty tournament day?

I believe it has been extended to the north end of Fogarty Beach.

I can see one kayak out by the buoy straight out from Depoe right now. Good luck!

This is from the rules from June 30th.  Looks like 2 boundaries are listed but not sure which one is right.

How did the ORC wind up? Weather and ocean looked pretty good.

I am not affiliated with putting the event on but here are the standings that I cut and paste. There may be something more formal later.

The top 10 anglers received a certificate that gets them to nationals.
1st place,  Kristie Cronin - 195 pts
2nd place, Jed Rivera - 195 pts
Tie breaker was who caught most fish.  Each caught 13 fish.  2nd tie breaker was the Time stamp on their submission.  Kristie first fish was at 5:50 am.  Jed’s first fish was at 6:30 am.  Kristie takes 1st.
3rd place - Steve Hatler - 185 pts - 13 fish caught.
4th place - Joe Kacker - 185 pts - 12  fish caught.  Steve takes 3rd.
5th place - Tony Thilavanh - 180 pts
6th place - Nick Piatek - 180 pts
Each angler caught 11 fish.  Tony’s first fish was caught at 7:17am Nicks first fish was caught at 7:26am.  Tony takes 5th place.
7th place - Chris Williams - 165 pts
8th - place Hong Long - 155 pts
9th - Place James Reeher - 145

It really wasn’t bad.  I was taking a photo then switching to video.  Really, all I needed was a video that I could show the identifier then the fish then the release.  Even the process of “weigh in” wasn’t bad.  It was fun just to have a different format.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

I was worried about the video thing too, but it turned out to be really easy.  Not having to get the fish on a board to measure meant you just held it, took a photo, then switched to video and dropped it.  Had a good sized Cabezon and the same process worked.  Smaller ling were grabbed by the neck, a big one wold probably involve a pair of fish grips
