transducers

ok alot of the OK's I've read about have a transducer scupper molded in to them, so my question is what transducer fits in this scupper location, and if your yak doesnt have this molded scupper whats the best way and/or location to mount the transducer.

I'm not sure but I think the humminbird has that teardrop transducer. I've  been curious about that one too and I'm eager to hear from one of the OK pros on the board.

I generally do NOT recommend them.  IMO, scupper holes were meant to drain water, not to be plugged up with a transducer post.  They're not cheap either.

  Just pulled a trans. out of my  OK Trident 15.7.  Worked fine all the time it was there . Used the scupper but put a regular skimmer  ducer in it. Some mod on ducer mount tab but worked fine, also had room for water to drain around it. Some marine goop on corners held it there.

Pole - does the transducer post take up the whole diameter of the scupper? It looked like there would still be some room from the one photo I've seen.

When I take a wave over the top when going through the surf, I want the water to drain off as fast as possible.  The added weight really makes handling tough.  There is still some room in the scupper with the post in there, but it definitely is not a wide open drain.

If you look at that link, you'll see the FF's that are compatible with that setup.

That being said, I haven't seen a FF transducer that can't shoot through the hull when mounted on the inside.
