So I met up with good ol' Fishin-T at noon.  He still didn't think I was serious about the worms so didn't bring any.   :-[  So I dug a few up at the launch.  There was a light rain coming down, but we decided to still hit it.  Paddled down the slough and out to the barges before hanging a left and roughly following 30-40' feet of water over to Arrowhead Point and down off St. Edwards.  I wasn't marking anything until we got off St Edwards.  No hits, no fish.  Perhaps the front turned them off.  It's been years since I fished this area, like 20 years maybe.  Back then my dad and I used to fish this area for cutts in the winter and did OK.  I know they're there, just not cooperating today, perhaps the front turned them off a bit.  It felt good to at least be out paddling as it's been awhile.  I did get to try out a new paddle that I got last week, a Lendal carbon fiber, crankshaft paddle.  Oh what a joy to paddle!  Nice and light, plus this is the first time I've really paddle a crankshaft for any amount of time.  I really like it.  And the carbon was nice and light.  Anyway, I look forward to the lake heating up a bit as we go into the spring and the cutties start feeding on the sockeye smolt of the year.
