(The title of the thread is supposed to be sung)

I was thinking of floating and maybe wetting a line in the Tualatin tomorrow. I'm currently broke and need to stay close to home...Tigard/Tualatin/LO/Sherwood areas.

If anyone wants to get out, let me know. I have gear for salmon, sturgeon, steelhead and/or trout.

I'd be ready anytime after around 9.

You could head over to Rogers Landing in Newberg and fish that stretch for salmon, steelhead or bass.  River trout season is still a ways in the future.

I'd join you but I work on Saturdays.

I wouldn't be targeting a specific species on the Tualatin as I really don't even know what fish are in there.

Just looking for a nutritious dinner.

ahhhh, not from the Tualatin
Nice Bass, Panfish, etc.,  yucky water.
Go east young man! Like to downtown and the Hawthorne bridge or Willamettte Park or Sellwood. Join the masses in that wonderful merry-go-round of life looking for Springers. The easiest launch is under the Sellwood Bridge on the west side next to Staff Jennings. There is a free ramp there that's too short for most boats, but perfect for ours and puts you right into the thick of it.

Aye, but that involves buying bait. I can always dig for worms for whatever is around in the Tualatin.

All I have for salmon is about 30 lbs of eggs. Pretty useless trolling for salmon.

I do have a secret egg-mooching spot on the coast that works pretty well.

I have caught cut throat, smallies, largemouth, perch, breem, squawfish and big carp out of the Tualatin. Have always done better on night crawlers over artificial. Carp bite well on frozen corn. I'd join you, but the weather is crap for tomorrow. Better fishing when it warms up some.
