Hey, are greenling open this time of year?  I believe they are.  Someone check me on this one ...

Find a rocky location, I'd say a kelp bed, but they are probably sparse this time of year.  Jig a small white dart or rubber worms on a leadhead.  Or use the worms you're bringing for flounder.

Hey INSAYN,
Are you still planning to attend this weekend's truck camper rally in Anacortez? If so, I hope you're still bringing your yak, cuz I'm bringing mine!

While there aren't many saltwater opportunities right now, there are some great lakes we could hit nearby. One, Campbell Lake, has been on my 'must fish' list for too long.  It has Largemouth bass, yellow perch, and black crappie (there is a 9-inch minimum size, 10-fish limit on crappie). And, I heard, but haven't confirmed, that Triploid rainbow trout were stocked this month.

If you're into fly fishing, Pass Lake is also nearby. It has good numbers of big rainbows and browns.

No kayak going.  One, I haven't built a trailer yet to pull behind the truck and camper.
Second, I'm going to just make this a time with the kids and wife, with general smack talk with the rest of the tribe.  Alot of folks I've been friends with for quite a while and haven't seen in a year or more.  Got some catching up to do.

We can most certainly chat up a yak storm though!   ;D

Well, what if, um...I show up with two kayaks?

We could hit Campbell at first light and be back in time for breakfast! (or dinner if the fishing is really good)
