It was a fun day today at Sunset. Nothing was biting on the bottom so i started casting my light rig and was banging the Blacks, caught about 20 and kept six. Was just slamming the blacks on a slow retreive when the fat, heavy Ling decided to grab my small jig near the surface and strip off a bunch of line twice. Took 10 minutes to land it, was not the longest ling i've caught but it was thick and heavy. What a blast, everything was on the surface even cabbies.... Baits in!! :headbang:

Oh yea, the Ling had a big piece of an octopus arm in his throat, forgot to take a pic of it. Too big to even swallow all the way and it still took my jig...

Nice job CBY!

Looking at the PC cam today, it looks like it's a flat ocean day (at least up here).

How was it down there?

Good job Roy!  I saw a power boater in Charleston yesterday with about a 20lb Ling and a 10lb Ling.  I should have asked where.

How about the islands or Neah Bay, instead? Janni and I are headed somewhere this Thursday.

Hood canal bridge is still closed, right?  Makes it a tougher proposition to make the trip out to Neah Bay.
